Over 130 Guests Attend MicroNova Careers Day

The software and system house MicroNova held a successful Information and Careers Day on October 16, 2022: over 130 visitors came to learn more about the company – including current career opportunities.

Test solutions for the automotive industry, a mobile network management offering, and enterprise software make up the portfolio that earned MicroNova the „Bayerns Best 50“ award in 2022. The company, founded in Jetzendorf and headquartered near the border of the two districts of Dachau and Pfaffenhofen (Ilm), is continuing to grow – which is why it held an Information and Careers Day on October 16.

The current headcount of 340 employees will soon be supplemented by many additional colleagues. The Information and Careers Day was an important element in the quest to recruit new talent. It was also very successful. Around 130 guests gathered at MicroNova’s headquarters in Vierkirchen between 10 am and 5 pm. They took the opportunity to learn about the innovative offering of the company, which turned 35 this April.

Growth in the Automotive Environment

MicroNova is highlighting its technological expertise in the automotive market in particular, which is undergoing changes in the type of drive systems used. The company is a technology leader in test solutions for battery management systems, which, for example, control the power output of the cells to the electric motor. Other industries, such as medical technology or wind energy, are now increasingly benefiting from their underlying expertise. The company is accordingly looking for a significant number of new employees in this area and placed the focus of its Information and Career Day on these topics.

With mobile networks becoming increasingly powerful, MicroNova is addressing another high-tech field: the company offers solutions that enable operators to automate the expansion and optimization of their networks – including, of course, the current “5G” rollout stage. MicroNova’s customers include Telefónica Germany, known for its o2 brand, and Vodafone Germany – two of the three major mobile communications providers. The majority of mobile communications users thus use a provider relying on technology from Vierkirchen.

Growing Software Business

What’s more, the company’s third line of business has developed very well, especially in the past ten years since its 25th anniversary: the sale and support of third-party software. MicroNova currently offers solutions for IT departments as well as for project management in this context. The introduction of additional products is an integral part of MicroNova’s plans for the future.

The company is therefore looking for new employees in order to be able to achieve this continued growth. The planned increase in headcount covers all three divisions, as well as central services such as human resources or finance. “When I started out more than 20 years ago, we had a little over 30 associates. In 2012 for the 25th anniversary, MicroNova employed 110 people, and now there are already around 340,” said CEO Orazio Ragonesi. “This number is anticipated and will continue to increase. We offer our customers cutting-edge technology that is in high demand to ensure their success. So we need more experts on our team.”

However, MicroNova not only showcased itself on October 16, 2022, but also gave a platform to some of its partners. For example, the MINT Campus and the Gründwerk startup incubator from Dachau sent representatives to the event. In addition, students from the robotics group at the Indersdorf High School presented their activities. MicroNova added a number of services to the information on offer. The HR department reviewed a number of résumés, giving valuable tips, and anyone interested could also have application photos taken on site free of charge – in each case independent of any application.
