Porsche: Continuous Testing with CI-Testing-Toolkette
Porsche: Modern vehicles offer an enormous range of functions. However, the software required for this also brings a high degree of complexity and huge amounts of data with it during development – while at the same time, development times are getting shorter and shorter. In order to still be able to test all applications quickly and reliably before they hit the road, the highest possible degree of automation is required for validation. That is why Porsche AG has been relying on MicroNova's test automation solution EXAM for all hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) test benches since 2009. Read the full article here

VW – Virtual test stand for the validation of a steering control unit.
For the validation of new driver assistance systems, including autonomous driving, automobile manufacturers and suppliers need new approaches and test systems. The goal of Volkswagen Group Components is the comprehensive and efficient validation of the software of a control unit for steering. Based on their long-standing cooperation in the field of HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) tests and test automation, Volkswagen and MicroNova have been developing various approaches for virtual testing, i.e. for a PC-based simulation to secure control unit software, since 2016. In all approaches, the virtual electronic control unit (vECU) was and is always the focus of attention. The jointly developed concept represents an extension to previous HiL or SiL (software-in-the-loop) test benches.
