ks.MicroNova GmbH in Kassel supports automobile manufacturers and suppliers primarily in the development and refinement of test and automation solutions. The product range extends from standalone test benches and client-specific solutions to fully virtual laboratory cars in which the ECUs of a vehicle can be operated and tested under real conditions. For example, our experts in Kassel build hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) simulators for the locations of a leading automobile manufacturer in Mexico, South America, South Africa and China. In addition to software development and hardware assembly, the first test commissionings of large test benches are also carried out here.
Since 2009, ks.MicroNova GmbH and MicroNova AG - joined by cz.MicroNova s.r.o in 2015 - have been working together closely on the further development and construction of the NovaCarts HiL simulators. The team has a lot of experience in the field of automotive testing: Before MicroNova AG took over the former carts Real-Time Solutions GmbH in 2009 as part of a "transferring reorganization", the Kassel-based company had already supplied test benches for vehicle electronics and software tests to a leading German automobile manufacturer.

The roots of today's MicroNova location lie in the University of Kassel. Since the beginning of the 1980s, the Institute for Electrical Power Engineering - Drive Technology has been working on the development of real-time simulations allowing a more efficient validation of electronic control units for vehicles. In 2000, this part of the university was spun off as carts Real-Time Solutions GmbH. Even today, there are still close connections to the University of Kassel due to the company's origins and its geographical proximity.
